GLBT Hot Spots

Looking for a night out on the town or drinks after work? Check our listing for information on Pittsburgh’s best gay and gay-friendly hotspots.

Brillobox

Hipster haunt that’s very gay-friendly but not gay-exclusive (but depending on the event, might have more gays than straights).

Blue Moon

This friendly and casual tavern offers a full selection of beers and well drinks, plus specialty drinks. They have great deals such as $1 drafts on Wednesdays or $1 well drinks from 10pm-12am on Thursdays. They also host special events like barbecues and live entertainers.

Brewer’s Hotel

You can’t get any more casual than this old bar with inexpensive drinks and a friendly crowd. Draws a larger crowd on Sundays around 5PM.

Donny’s Place

A very casual bar with pool tables and dart boards. Downstairs, a basement bar called Leather Central well known for guys wearing their leather apparel. Free parking. Don’t miss the Sunday Brunch.

Cattivo

Cattivo might seem a little divey during the week, but it transforms into a fabulous dance club with great DJs and events. During the week, check out the happy hour and food menu.

P-Town

You know you are in Pittsburgh when you can watch a Steeler’s game and hot guys stripping in the same bar. Don’t worry, they don’t overlap.

5801 on Ellsworth

Located in the upscale Shadyside section of Pittsburgh, this Video lounge and cafe plays new songs and classic videos. Check for drink specials every night of the week. Excellent
food and a large outdoor deck for eating and drinking.

Spin

A trendy decor and upscale atmosphere make Spin a great spot for a real night on the town. Grab a drink and mingle with the well-dressed crowd–who knows where it will lead you.

Real Luck Cafe (Luckys)

Very casual bar with two floors. The younger crowd tends to hang out downstairs, where they drink, eat pizza and listen to music. The older crowd goes upstairs to dance to disco or 80′s music, play Ms. Pac Man or to watch go-go boys.

Images

Nice, newly remodeled club with an open and friendly atmosphere. Go-go dancers (on Tuesdays and Fridays) and live music entertain the sophisticated crowd. Monday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are karaoke.

Club HOT/Tilden

Tilden is on the second floor of the 941 Liberty Ave building. When the bars close down, Tilden continues the party until 3:30am. Pittsburgh’s only Gay After Hours club.

941 Saloon

941 Saloon offers a mixed, welcoming crowd and a variety of themed events. A great place for Downtown partying!

Pegasus Lounge

This all-inclusive dance club is Pittsburgh’s most popular gay lounge and a hit with singles of every persuasion.

Eagle

Far away from the crush of the mod masses, exists a veritable playground for the gay and lesbian crowd. The four-story club has billiards on the first floor, dirty dancing floor on the second, and a laid-back lounge on the third, complete with a computer room and couches.

Longbada Lounge

This racy dance club is worth the trip out of town. And everyone really is welcome. You’ll see all types, queens, dykes, fairies, bears, you name it.
